MERIDEN — Police released photos of a suspect in a robbery at Liberty Bank on East Main Street Wednesday afternoon.

No injuries were reported.

The robbery at the bank, located at 825 E. Main St., was reported around 2:48 p.m. Sgt. Michael Boothroyd said in a statement. The first officers arrived about two and half minutes after police received the 911 call, but the suspect had already left in a gray colored vehicle headed toward Liberty Street.

Security video showed the male suspect was wearing a surgical mask, a blue hooded sweatshirt and gray t-shirt. He entered the bank, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, Boothroyd said.

Police are asking residents in the Liberty Street area with exterior cameras to check to see if they have footage of the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Ben Pellegrini at 203-620-6297 or bpellegrini@meridenct.gov.
