MERIDEN — A 32-year-old man faces charges after police said he stabbed another man during a dispute Monday night.
The injured man suffered several stab wounds and was taken to Hartford Hospital, Lt. John Mennone said in a release. He was released on Tuesday and is expected to make a full recovery.
Justin Ramirez, 32, of 478 E. Main St., was charged with first-degree assault, strangulation and disorderly conduct.
The incident occurred in the area of 478 E. Main St. around 11:35 p.m., Mennone said.
The injured man told police there was a domestic issue that involved his daughter’s ex-boyfriend, identified as Ramirez, Mennone said. Ramirez was found at the scene and taken into custody. His bond was set at $75,000.
The investigation is ongoing and there may be additional charges, Mennone said.
