MERIDEN — A New York man faces charges in a stabbing on South Third Street on Halloween.
Danerly Acosta, 30, of 1115 Boston Rd., Apt. 6., Bronx, New York, was arrested Nov. 1 and charged with second-degree assault, breach of peace and interfering with police.
Police say he stabbed a man at a party at 45 South Third St.
The victim was originally taken to MidState Medical Center, then transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment of a four-inch cut to his neck, the report said. The man told police he was assaulted when he arrived at the party on South Third Street, the report said. A relative of the victim who was there during the incident identified Acosta as the assailant.
Acosta was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Monday and bond was set at $50,000. The case was continued to Dec. 14.
