Police: Two men arrested in connection with gunshots outside Meriden bar last year

MERIDEN — Two men face charges in connection with a shots fired incident at One Twelve Lounge last January. 

Richard Ortiz, 44, of 182 Hobart St., was charged with criminal possession of a firearm and unlawful discharge of a firearm. He was released on $150,000 bond. 

Anthony Terrence Pooser, 36, of 112 S. Colony St., was charged with tampering or fabricating physical evidence and interfering with an officer. He was released on $10,000 bond. 

The men were arrested Wednesday following an investigation into gunshots at 112 Lounge, 278 W. Main St., on Jan. 12, 2020, Lt. John Mennone said in a statement Thursday. An altercation took place outside the business and resulted in shots being fired, Mennone said. There were no injuries, he said. 

Ortiz and Pooser’s court dates were not immediately available.
