Police identified the man as Michael Joseph Brown. They did not release a home address or any other information.

Police responded to the gas station, 54 S. Broad St., around 2:40 a.m. for reports of gunshots. Officers found evidence of a shooting at the scene but no victims. A short time later, a local hospital reported treating two gunshot victims.

One man, who has not been identified, suffered a single gunshot wound to his leg. Brown succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, police said.

According to police, the shooting stemmed from rival gangs targeting each other.
