MERIDEN — A tractor trailer fire on Interstate 91 caused heavy traffic delays Monday morning. 

No injuries were reported. 

State police said troopers and the Meriden Fire Department were dispatched to the area of exit 17 south around 8:05 a.m. for reports of the fire.

Traffic was diverted onto Route 15 south via exit 67 for several hours, according to state police. 

First-responders left the scene around 1:30 p.m., a fire official said.
