Time-lapse photography program: Dec. 6, 7 p.m.

North Haven Camera Club will welcome guest speaker Shiv Verma Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. for an online program on time-lapse photography, a technique that makes time appear to speed up.

Time-lapse photography involves taking multiple images and combining them into a short video. This method allows you to compress hours – or days – worth of footage into just a few seconds or minutes of dramatic video.

A good example of time-lapse photography is watching daytime change to night or a seedling sprout into a flower. It's a great way to be creative with your photography.

Verma published a book on time-lapse photography in 2014, and has been taking photos for more than 50 years. His photography has evolved over time to express his intense devotion to wildlife and nature, and he has earned numerous awards both nationally and internationally.

Guests are welcome to attend Verma’s Dec. 6 presentation. Just email northhavencameraclub@gmail.com. For more information about the club, visit northhavencameraclub.com.
