Judge of Probate Michael R. Brandt announced that the East Haven-North Haven Probate Court has moved to new court space at 595 Thompson Ave., East Haven, located in the rear building of the East Haven Town Hall complex. The relocation, planned and implemented over several months with a focus on uninterrupted customer service, was completed last month.
“I am grateful to our town hall colleagues in East Haven and in North Haven, and particularly to court staff, for their efforts in contributing to a seamless transition of the Probate Court on the East Haven Town Hall campus,” said Judge Brandt. “Residents of East Haven and North Haven with Probate Court matters can be assured that they will experience the same convenience, efficient adjudication of matters, and access to court staff and services in our new location.”
The Probate Court serves residents of the East Haven and the North Haven communities, and comprises one of Connecticut’s 54 Probate Districts.
Connecticut’s Probate Courts assist thousands of older adults to age in place in their homes; supervise the care and finances of individuals who cannot care for themselves, support individuals with mental health conditions to live in the community instead of in institutional settings; and help thousands of children stay in familiar surroundings with family and friend guardians rather than being placed in foster care.
The East Haven-North Haven Probate Court is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and can be reached at 203-468-3895.
