Local business does its part for food pantry

When the Pro-Klean team heard the North Haven Community Service Department’s call for help on food donations, the staff knew they had to step up.

Over the course of four weeks Pro-Klean Cleaning & Restoration Services Inc., located on 340 Maple Ave. in North Haven, collected over 250 nonperishable food items.

Robert Snurkowski, the Food Bank Administrator at the Community Services Department, said that the coronavirus pandemic has taken quite a toll on the community. He and his team came up with the initiative to create monthly food bags for those in need.

The Community Services Department provided Pro-Klean with a list of nonperishable items that the food bank needed. From mac ’n’ cheese to cereal, Pro-Klean made sure every item on that list was filled.
