North Haven man charged in armed robbery of Washington Avenue gas station

North Haven man charged in armed robbery of Washington Avenue gas station

NORTH HAVEN — A local man has been charged in an armed robbery of a Washington Avenue gas station in January 2018.

Bryan Wolfe, 28, of North Haven, was charged with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.

The robbery occurred at Exxon, 77 Washington Ave., on Jan. 18, 2018, according to police. Officers filed charges after connecting him to a robbery that occurred in November at TD Bank on Washington Avenue. Wolfe was charged in that incident after he reportedly stole less than $1,000 and led police on a pursuit.

A Wallingford man was arrested last February in connection with the Exxon robbery, but police said his case was later dismissed. Police believe Wolfe acted alone.  Wolfe was released after posting $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on April 18.
