North Haven police investigating armed robbery at Route 5 gas station

NORTH HAVEN — Police are investigating after two masked men pointed handguns at a clerk during a robbery at a Route 5 gas station early Friday. 

Police responded to Sunoco, 95 Washington Ave., around 1:42 a.m. Friday for a report of an armed robbery, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page. A dark colored sedan parked at the business and two men entered the store. The suspects pointed guns at the clerk and had him empty the cash register, the post said. 

One suspect was wearing a red, puffy coat and the other was wearing a gray coat. The men were last seen driving north on Washington Avenue.
