New Knight leaders installed

The North Haven Knights of Columbus Council 3733, consisting of more than 300 Catholic gentlemen from the North Haven/Wallingford/Hamden area, installed its officers & trustees at St. Frances Cabrini Church in North Haven on Thursday, Sept.19.

The Knights of Columbus has grown from several members in one council in New Haven in 1882 to 15,900 councils and 1.9 million members throughout the world.

The group’s charitable activities encompass an almost infinite variety of local, national and international projects, from charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, the Global Wheelchair Mission and Habitat for Humanity, to its own Food for Families & Coats for Kids projects and other local charities.

In 2017, the Knights of Columbus set a new all-time record, generating $185 million. In addition, the Knights achieved its highest level of charitable service in 2017, volunteering more than 75 million hours.
