NORTH HAVEN — A man with outstanding felony firearm warrants was arrested on Wednesday at a restaurant on Universal Drive, according to a Facebook post from the North Haven Police Department.
At approximately 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, North Haven officers assisted the State Police Violent Crime Task Force in the apprehension of Edward Casigne, 39. The task force and the New Haven Police Criminal Intelligence Unit had received information that Casigne was at the restaurant in North Haven.
Casigne was taken into custody after he attempted to enter a vehicle in the parking lot.
During the arrest, Casigne was found to be in possession of a firearm.
In addition to his outstanding warrants, Casigne was also charged with criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, weapon in a motor vehicle, possession of a high-capacity magazine, and risk of injury to a minor.
