A comedy night fundraiser benefiting the North Haven Education Foundation will be held Friday, April 28 at the Knights of Columbus Lodge, 2630 Whitney Ave. in Hamden. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $30. Cash bar, bring your own snacks.
Three comedians will perform. Headliner Chris Monty’s bio states: “His use of quick improv skills and physical slapstick make his stand-up truly memorable. His latest high-profile projects include his standup comedy special titled “What’s the Worst That Could Happen” (Amazon Prime), Vinyl (HBO), Red Oaks (Amazon Prime), Paul Bart: Mall Cop 2 (Sony Pictures), Kevin Can Wait (CBS), and Orange is the New Black (Netflix).
The North Haven Education Foundation encourages and supports academic excellence through grants that enhance opportunities for students and the community beyond the conventional school resources. The group’s website states: “Since its formation in 2004, the NHEF has helped bridge the gap between increased demands placed upon the school system and a decrease in federal and local educational funding. We do this by awarding grant money to encourage the innovation and establishment of educational projects that touch the lives of as many of our students as possible.”
