The Town of North Haven is taking part in a campaign to get residents to consider installing heat pump technology in their homes. The town has partnered with PACE – Peoples Action for Clean Energy – and the North Haven Clean Energy Task Force on this outreach effort: HeatSmart North Haven.
"HeatSmart North Haven is designed to help residents better understand their home and the options available to them when it comes to heating and cooling," First Selectman Michael Freda states on the HeatSmart North Haven webpage. "This program is designed to provide residents with the necessary information to make informed choices about energy efficiencies in their homes."
When it comes to heat pumps, HeatSmart Connecticut said they "can be affordable alternatives to fossil fuel-based heating and hot water, while also providing cooling to improve home comfort."
