Yaccarino  heads back  to work

On the north steps of the Capitol in Hartford on Jan. 6, state Rep. Dave Yaccarino (R-87) joined 150 legislators in the House of Representatives in being sworn in, taking the oath of office in an outdoor ceremony.

Yaccarino indicated that fixing the state’s ailing budget, assisting unemployed residents and hurting businesses, and continuing to advance the bioscience industry in the state will be top priorities.

“While my main concern this legislative session will be mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in our state, I also believe we must work to help businesses and families during this difficult time," Yaccarino said. "I will continue my efforts towards growing jobs and ensuring Connecticut is an affordable state to live and do business in.”

Yaccarino will serve on the legislature’s Commerce, Finance, Revenue and Bonding, and Executive and Legislative Nominations committees, and as co-chair of the Bioscience Caucus.
