Summer concert series returns, with some changes

Record-Journal

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, First Selectman Michael J. Freda announced that the town would like to offer an option for concert-goers to attend an alternative version of North Haven’s summer concerts, which will take place at a new site, the North Haven Fairgrounds.

This summer, performers will be live on the mobile stage and their music will be amplified over a sound system and played on local FM radio.

There will be no food trucks or vendors this summer and attendees are required to stay in their cars during performances.

Cars will arrive and exit via Washington Avenue. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and shows will begin at 7.

Cars will be parked on a first come, first served basis until capacity is reached.

The summer concert schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, July 28 – The Classics; Tuesday, Aug. 4 – Timmy Maia Experience; Tuesday, Aug. 11 – The Pop Rocks; Aug. 18 – Rock & Roll Roadshow; Tuesday, Aug. 25 – Primetime.
