The North Haven Fair returns for its 80th year next month, and a birthday celebration will be part of the fun.
“We’re excited. Eighty years is a long time,” North Haven Fair Association Director Jeanne Lewis said. “We’re bringing in truck pulls, having a birthday party, and celebrating 80 years of the North Haven Fair with our entertainment.”
The 2022 fair will run Sept. 8 to 11. Opening night will feature Spotlight Stage Company’s “80 Years of the North Haven Fair” on the Main Stage, and the entrance fee is just $5. There is no entrance fee for children 11 and under throughout the weekend when accompanied by an adult.
Along with plenty of food and games, the fair will include live music, ox and horse drawing contests, lawn mower racing, wrestling, a petting zoo, and much more.
“I am very happy with the return of the North Haven Fair this year,” First Selectman Michael Freda said. “The fairgrounds board has my total support in bringing these wonderful events to North Haven.”
