Plainville Republicans Helping Local Restaurants

Plainville Republicans Helping Local Restaurants

Record-Journal

The Plainville Republican Town Committee is launching a program to support local restaurants – “Return the Flavor.” The committee is purchasing $1,200 worth of restaurant gift certificates to help kickstart restaurants as they reopen.

Raffle tickets for restaurant gift certificates can be purchased at $2 each or three for $5. More than 40 gift cards will be raffled off July 1.

The idea behind “Return the Flavor” is to encourage raffle winners to visit the restaurants and use the gift cards once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

“This is a fantastic idea by the committee,” RTC chair Gayle Dennehy stated. “Our local restaurants have been loyal sponsors of our events over several years and we thought we would return the favor by purchasing gift cards for future use.

“‘Return the Flavor’ is our way of giving back and helping in some small way to sustain our restaurants in Plainville, and benefiting our local Community Fund during this most challenging time.”

To purchase raffle tickets, contact Helen Bergenty at 860-302-3783 or Deb Hardy at 860-384-9577;
