Plainville realtor gets behind Friendship Center

Berarducci Realtors 36 Whiting St., continues to collect items for the Friendship Center in New Britain. The center, which serves Plainville, New Britain, Berlin and Southington, will accommodate families by keeping them together. On a regular basis, it houses children and babies. Recently, Berarducci Realtors provided baby items and formula, in addition to snacks and drinks for children.

Currently, the center is in need of furniture items, such as kitchen tables and chairs, sofas, dressers and night stands, for its new, permanent, supportive housing unit. This consists of a mix of 11 one-bedroom and efficiency apartments. The apartments are earmarked for individuals who are chronically homeless and who have some type of disability. To donate, call Barbara Lazarski, at 860-225-0211.

Berarducci Realtors welcomes donations year-round.  Items always in need include non-perishable food items, twin bedding (new), paper products, cleaning products, baby diapers and wipes and personal care items for children and adults. For more information, call 860-410-9828.
