Central CT business collective welcomes Plainville

PLAINVILLE – Members of the Plainville Chamber of Commerce had a chance to connect with some new associates during a recent Central CT Chambers of Commerce meet and greet.

The Plainville Chamber officially joined the regional group in April, after splitting with the New Britain Chamber in 2021.

At the May 12 gathering, held at Hop Haus, members of the Central CT Chambers of Commerce welcomed the Plainville contingent and chatted over appetizers and drinks.

“I am from Cromwell, so it is very nice to meet new people,” said Nancy Steele, pointing out that the Central CT Chamber association often has such networking events.

Steele was introduced as the regional Chamber’s event manager. Other new additions include Membership Director Andrew LaForge, and Marketing Director Lauren Turpak.

The Central CT Chambers of Commerce cover the towns of Bristol, Burlington, Farmington, Plainville, Plymouth and Wolcott. Its office is located at 440 N. Main St. in Bristol.

Cindy Bombard is the group’s president & CEO, Dee Babkirk is the point person for its manufacturing affiliates, and Katie D’Agostino oversees marketing efforts.
