Retirees honored

The Plainville Board of Education recognized six retiring teachers and staff members from Plainville Community Schools at its June 8 meeting, held virtually. The following individuals were recognized:

Jeff Blanchette - Plainville High School music teacher and instructional leader; Al LeSage - Plainville High School culinary arts teacher; Jeri Lynn Turkowitz - Plainville High School psychologist; Rosa Perez - director of curriculum, instruction and assessment; Frances Graff - Middle School of Plainville paraprofessional; Cathy Demers - Wheeler School paraprofessional.

Preschoolprogram

Plainville Community Schools still has openings for the district’s preschool program for Fall 2020. The program runs Monday through Friday from 8:50 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and generally follows the school district calendar. Registration is first come, first served.
