With chalk in hand, Middle School of Plainville students took to the streets recently. The MSP Art club sponsored the “Chalk Your Walk” contest for middle school students and their families. Students were challenged to draw or write encouraging messages on their driveway or sidewalk using chalk. MSP eighth grader Michael Fagan and family won first place with their positive driveway message: “After Every Storm There is a Rainbow.” MSP art teachers Laura Meehan and Lori Vigue commented that it was difficult to choose a winner, but that the Fagan family’s positive message of hope seemed especially important today.
