Coin sale benefits late officer’s family

The Plainville Police Department is selling memorial coins honoring Officer Brian Cybulski, who was killed in a motorcyle accident on May 18. Cybulski was just 40 years old.

All proceeds from the memorial coin sale will be donated to his widow and young daughter.

In announcing the tragic news back in May, the Plainville Police Department wrote on Facebook, “Brian was a well-liked and well-respected member of our department for the last fifteen years. He was a dispatcher for us before becoming a police officer … Not only was Brian an excellent police officer, he was genuinely sincere, kind-hearted, and an overall good person.

“The members of the Plainville Police Department are devastated by his loss and will work to keep his memory alive."

Earlier this month, a memorial motorcycle ride was held in Cybulski’s honor.

“The show of support for Brian’s wife Barbi and daughter Paisley was amazing,” the Plainville PD wrote on Facebook.

Officer Brian Cybulski memorial coins are $20, and can be purchased at the Plainville Police Department.
