Residents have options for Christmas tree disposal

Plainville residents may dispose of Christmas trees at the transfer station on Granger Lane through Friday, Jan. 14. There is no charge. Place trees in the designated collection area. Remove any tree wrapping.

Also, the Roadways Department will be collecting Christmas trees curbside the week of Jan. 9.

Residents are asked to leave trees at the curb by Sunday, Jan. 9. Be sure the trees are free of ice and snow, are not in the road and do not block sidewalks or walkways.

Questions regarding Christmas tree disposal can be referred to Public Works at 860-793-0221 ext. 7176.
