SOLD: A thoroughly renovated Center Street colonial in Wallingford

WALLINGFORD — A Center Street colonial, thoroughly renovated by well-known property owner Lucy Gouveia, has sold for $278,000.

Joseph Gouveia sold the home in early December to Cody and Nathalie Edeen, according to town records.

The 1,568 square-foot home at 711 Center St. had no electricity when Joseph Gouveia bought it in February 2018. Former listing agent Lucille Trzcinski said the home has a new heating system and roof. The kitchen was also remodeled.

The four-bedroom home was built in the 1920s and still has period accents and a brick chimney in place.

The rooms are large and bright with new windows. There are three porches: one in the front, one off the kitchen and one off an upstairs bedroom, all of which have been redone. The exterior wood has also been sanded to a smooth finish

It also has a walk-up attic that spans the length of the house with plumbing for a full bathroom already in place.
