WALLINGFORD — A 2,846-square-foot Colonial with old-fashioned touches near the town center was recently listed for $525,000.

The three-bedroom home at 185 S. Main St. went on the market Monday.

The house was built in 1920 and has had four owners in past 100 years, realtor Margaret Bennett said.

It has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, an enclosed back porch not visible from the street and an attached one-car garage.

Among its interior features are glass doorknobs, hardwood floors, two fireplaces, two sunrooms and an attic.

Outside, the house has a stucco exterior, slate roof, tree-lined level yard and brick patio.

It also has been upgraded with central air and natural gas heating.

The lot size is .42 acres. The property is assessed at $318,100 and annual taxes are approximately $9,110.

The uptown neighborhood has historic homes nearby, including the Franklin Johnson Mansion, 153 S. Main St., and the Samuel Parsons House, 180 S. Main St., home of the Wallingford Historical Society.

An open house is scheduled for 1-3 p.m. June 23. For more information, contact Margaret Bennett at 203-605-8083.
