Man injured in accident at machine shop in Southington



SOUTHINGTON – A man suffered what was initially reported as a crushed hand in an industrial accident at a machine shop on Tuesday.

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to Hartford Hospital after firefighters were called to Supreme-Lake Manufacturing at 455 Atwater St. in the Plantsville section, said Battalion Chief Thomas Donnelly.

No further information was available.

Supreme-Lake is a 46,000-square-foot machine shop that manufacturers machines and parts for water, gas, heating, refrigeration and heavy-equipment industries, according to its website.
