Motorcyclist dies after crash in Southington

SOUTHNGTON — A 29-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash on Queen Street Tuesday night, police said. 

The crash occurred in the area of 279 Queen St. around 6:25 p.m., Lt. Keith Egan said in a statement. David Sanabria, 29, of Plainville, was driving a 2016 Guzzi Moto motorcycle north on Queen Street when it collided with a  a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado headed south on Queen Street, Egan said. 

The Silverado was being driven by Robert Keating, 60, of Southington. The collision occurred in the northbound lane, Egan said. Sanabria had serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Egan said. 

Keating did not report any injuries.
