EAST HAVEN — A Southington man was killed during a shooting at an East Haven bar.

The incident occurred at Bullseye Billards, 655 Main St., around 1:36 a.m. Saturday. Two men shot were taken to Yale New Haven Hospital.

One man, identified as Julius Bolden-Lowe, 26, of Southington, died at the hospital, police said. The second man, who has not been identified, was shot in the face. He was released after surgery to remove the bullet.

An altercation took place inside the business, which led to the shooting, police said.

“Because of recent incidents of violence at Bullseye Billiards, a referral was made to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection - Liquor Control Division who suspended Bullseye Billiards’ liquor license,” police said in a statement. “They will be prohibited from conducting any type of business until a safety agreement is reached between the establishment, police department and Liquor Control Division.”

Police are asking anyone with information to call 203-468-3820. Callers can remain anonymous, police said.
