SOUTHINGTON — Four people were transported to area hospitals following a rollover on Interstate 84 Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred on the eastbound side of the highway near exit 32 at approximately 3 p.m.

Fire Battalion Chief Eric Heath said all four occupants of the vehicle were able to get out on their own, despite initial reports that they had to be extricated. Heath described the injuries as “mild to moderate.” The breakdown and right travel lane were closed while first responders were on scene and had been reopened by 6 p.m.
