Southington fire crews extinguish small fire in home on Elm Street

SOUTHINGTON — Firefighters extinguished a small fire at an Elm Street home Monday afternoon.

The fire at 21 Elm St. was reported around 1:20 p.m. and was contained quickly, Fire Chief Richard Butler said. He described the damage as “minor” and said the residents will not be displaced.

A plumber was doing work in the home and a small fire started in a wall, Butler said.
