Southington fire officials investigating after blaze in vacant home early Monday

SOUTHINGTON — Fire officials are investigating after a blaze in a North Main Street home early Monday morning.

Fire crews responded to 376 N. Main St. just after 2 a.m. for a report of a fire, Fire Marshal/Assistant Fire Chief James Paul said. The fire started on the first floor and spread to a couple rooms on the second floor, Paul said. There were no injuries and the home was vacant.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire in about 45 minutes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
