Police: Southington man charged after images of child pornography found

SOUTHINGTON — A local man is facing charges after police said they found videos and images of child pornography on his computer.

John Starrs, 50, of 334 Blue Hills Drive, was charged with possession of child pornography, voyeurism, and disseminating voyeuristic material.

Detectives searched Starrs residence and seized electronic evidence for forensic examination by state police, police said. The device contained several image and video files of known pornography.

Starrs was taken into custody Thursday and released after a $75,000  bond was posted, police said. Starrs is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court July 8.
