SOUTHINGTON — Police are investigating after one person was extricated following a rollover crash on Loper Street this morning.
Police and fire crews responded to the intersection of Loper Street and Annelise Avenue around 11:39 a.m. for a report of a rollover accident, Lt. Stephen Elliott, police spokesman, said. A Chevrolet Cobalt was stopped on Annelise Avenue and went forward into the intersection and struck the right side of a Honda, Elliott said. The impact caused the Honda to spin and rollover, coming to rest on the driver’s side, Elliott said.
The driver of the Honda was extricated from the vehicle by fire crews and taken to Bradley Hospital for evaluation, but reported no injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
The accident is under investigation.
