State police seek witnesses after I-84 collision in Southington

SOUTHINGTON — State police are looking for witnesses in the aftermath of a crash involving a car and tractor-trailer on I-84 last week.

At approximately 11:13 a.m. on Friday, March 10, officers said an Acura RSX and a Kenworth tractor-trailer truck collided near the exit 33 off ramp in Southington, causing road closures and traffic delays.

According to police, the truck was traveling in the eastbound lane in the area of exit 33 before the Acura rear-ended the tractor-trailer. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the operator of the Acura was transported to Hartford Hospital.
