The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning until Sunday  at 8 p.m. The combined heat and humidity “is expected to make it feel like it is 105 degrees or greater” at times, according to the warning.

Additionally, an air quality alert is in effect from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday. The alert is in effect for Middlesex, New Haven, New London and Fairfield counties.

The National Weather Service recommends staying somewhere air conditioned, drinking plenty of water and reducing outdoor activities.
