Local scouts giving back during stay-at-home

Local scouts giving back during stay-at-home

Durham-Middlefield Girl Scouts have been using their time at home during the COVID-19 crisis to help care for our community.

Girl Scouts and their families have made get-well cards for hospital patients at MidState and the Hospital of Central CT who cannot receive visitors right now, sewn masks for local health professionals in need of PPE and to donate to Middlesex Health, sent cards to local seniors to brighten their day, donated to both the Middlefield and Durham food pantries, and completed neighborhood clean-ups to remove garbage and debris.

During this uncertain time, our Girl Scout troops from kindergarten through high school have looked for ways to support and strengthen our community in a wonderful example of how Girl Scouts give back!
