Towns schedule voter registration session



The Durham Registrars of Voters has scheduled an open voter registration session on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., in their office on the 2nd floor at Town Hall. This year, residents can register to vote on Election Day itself at Coginchaug Regional High School, but the process will require additional identification and time. Therefore, new voters are urged to register online, by mail or in person.

The Middlefield Registrars of Voters has scheduled a voter registration session on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., in their office at the Community Center, 405 Main St. This will be the last regular voter registration session before the Municipal election on Tuesday, Nov. 2. Hand-delivered mail-in registration applications must be received by the Registrars by this date. Mail-in registration applications must be received or postmarked by Oct. 26 in order for the applicant to vote in the Nov. 2 election. The deadline to register to vote using the online voter registration system is 11:59 p.m., Oct. 26.
