Durham receives additional 500 at-home COVID test kits

The Town of Durham will distribute at-home COVID-19 test kits and N95 masks Saturday, Jan. 8. 9 a.m., at the Durham Fairgrounds. This distribution is for Durham residents only. ID is required.

The distribution is meant for residents with an immediate need:

(a) individuals/families that believe they might have been exposed or have been experiencing symptoms.

(b) individuals that traveled and have been experiencing symptoms.

Residents are asked to enter through the Canfield Lane gate at the south side of the green. The distribution will continue until the supply is depleted.

Only two test kits will be distributed per household. Each kit contains two tests.

“Durham has received another 500 at-home test kits. As there are not enough tests for every resident of our town, the primary focus is for members of the public who have a known exposure or are symptomatic and are unable to find another test. The town has received its allocation of N95 masks. Those will also be distributed,” a press release from Durham First Selectman Laura Francis states. “We ask that you do not come to this distribution if you already received kits from the last event. If you need masks, please ask for masks only.”
