South Broad Kitchen & Bath celebrates opening of new Wallingford showroom

WALLINGFORD — Owners James Carlozzi and Mark DeLucia celebrated the grand opening of their newest South Broad Kitchen and Bath showroom last week.

Walking into the store, customers step into a design center where they can explore an array of kitchen, bathroom, and basement design options. Top brands like Brighton Cabinetry, Schluter Systems and Fleurco are on display.

Whether you are looking for a refresh, planning a full renovation, or need products for your next DIY project, experienced designers are ready to handle all the details.

During the grand opening, the store gave all customers a complimentary gift and a chance to win a Cloud White Fabuwood Bathroom vanity.

“This is a whole new wing that we had and expanded from our original footprint to having a kitchen and bath showroom,” Carlozzi said. “This was a process that we started a while ago, and due to COVID, we had to take a break from it.”

Designing and putting together of the showroom started at the beginning of 2020, but when COVID-19 started, things were delayed.

Carlozzi said they took about a year off when COVID-19 happened, and in the last year, they got everything wrapped up.

“We’re finally finished and trying to present this,” Carlozzi said. “We just want to get it out in the community that we’re locally owned, and you don’t have to go out to the big box stores to get things done.”

One of the unique features in the model kitchen is a hands-free faucet above a black cast-iron sink and the latest cooktop stove with the newest technology.

The showroom space is about 2,500 square feet, and Carlozzi said his favorite is the fully functioning kitchen.

“I love the functioning kitchen we decided to display because we wanted to have something for us to showcase what we do and to host different events,” Carlozzi said. “All the appliances work, and we would love to do cooking demonstrations and whatnot.”

What types of products are offered?

At the showroom, different kitchens are displayed to showcase spaces in a home. Carlozzi said they can work in any kitchen and bathroom that needs to be remodeled, from apartments to townhouses to single-family homes.

In-home bathroom consultations for one hour cost $99, while an in-home kitchen consultation of an hour and 30 minutes costs $199.

In addition, consultations for window treatment and flooring are available for different costs.

The store offers custom cabinets, and even some appliances and faucets, and other accessories are available from various manufacturers. Customers can choose from various designs or have custom-made cabinets for bathrooms or kitchens.
