WALLINGFORD — COVID-19 information and guidelines change regularly. That’s why the Spanish Community of Wallingford (SCOW) and the town’s Health Department partnered to offer a bilingual COVID-19 information session on Wednesday.
The virtual event will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. via Zoom. There will be a dial in option as well for those who don’t have access to the online platform.
According to Lizandra Mejías-Salinas, SCOW’s assistant executive director, the purpose of this English and Spanish info session is to keep both communities informed and educated with the most factual and up-to-date COVID-19 related information.
Mejías-Salinas said attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during the session. Questions can also be sent in advance to Mejías-Salinas at email@example.com and she will share them with the Wallingford Health Department.
The event is open to the public and Mejías-Salinas encourages everyone to join, including those who have been vaccinated. The information session is an opportunity to learn about the latest health and safety guidelines and to receive the most up-to-date information about the pandemic, she said.
“We think these information sessions are incredibly important in keeping the public well informed, educated, protected and prepared,” Mejías-Salinas said.
To attend the meeting, open up Zoom in a browser or an application, enter the meeting identification number, 868 2222 3881 and password 1234. Those who cannot log in using Zoom can dial in by phone using +1 929 205 6099 US (New York).
