WALLINGFORD — Two 18-year olds and one juvenile have been charged with car break-ins in the East Main Street area early Sunday.

Tyquell Gibson and Corey Baldwin, both of New Haven, and a juvenile suspect face charges of third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and third-degree larceny.

Baldwin also faces charges of conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny and interfering with an officer.

Police say the three were found in the vicinity of East Main Street at 4 a.m. on Sunday by officers responding to calls of suspicious activity and car break-ins in the area. The suspects had property stolen from unlocked vehicles and were linked to a motor vehicle found nearby that was reported stolen in Easton.

Lt. Sam Soukup credited the residents that alerted police.

“It was through that good information that we were able to locate these suspects,” he said.

He urged residents to remove valuables and lock their vehicles every night.

The bond for Gibson and Baldwin was set at $10,000.
