WALLINGFORD — The final budget workshop on Mayor William W. Dickinson Jr.'s proposed 2021-22 town budget, scheduled for Tuesday night, was cancelled.

Town Clerk Deborah McKiernan, who is also clerk of the Town Council, said council members had no questions for the department heads scheduled to meet with them tonight.

The departments slated to be discussed tonight were Conservation Commission, Inland Wetlands, Planning and Zoning, Zoning Board of Appeals, Building, Animal Control and Health.

McKiernan added there were no questions from the public, either.

The Town Council has a meeting for motions on changes to the mayor’s proposed budget scheduled for Thursday, during which the council can make amendments.

The vote on adopting a 2021-22 budget is scheduled for May 11. If the council does not adopt an amended budget, the mayor’s proposal goes into effect automatically.
