State police bomb squad removes inert grenade casing found in Wallingford



WALLINGFORD — The State Police Bomb Squad removed an inert hand grenade casing found on Henry Street Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the area of 74 Henry St. around 8:20 a.m., police spokeswoman Lt. Cheryl Bradley said.

The town Public Works Department discovered the casing while workers were digging up curbing in the area of 74 Henry St. around 8:20 a.m., police said.

Police left the scene about 9:30 a.m.
