WALLINGFORD — Town land records are now available online through a database, though copy fees still apply.

The website is https://connecticut-townclerks-records.com.

Town Clerk Barbara Thompson said that she worked with Town Corporation Counsel Janis M. Small and Mayor William W. Dickinson Jr. on an agreement to put town land records online through a vendor.

“For us this is exciting,” she said.

Land records include warranty deeds, mortgages, liens, water and sewer liens, tax liens, trade names and maps. Residential property cards are not part of the Town Clerk’s land records.

There is a $1 per page fee to print copies.

“Title searchers and attorneys need this information in order to do their jobs,” Thompson said, “and so they pay a fee for using this service to the vendor,” and the vendor pays the Town Clerk’s office.

Town Hall closed Monday to walk-in visitors. Offices are accepting visitors by appointment only. For contact information, visit the town website at http://town.wallingford.ct.us and use the Departments & Agencies drop-down menu.
