Wallingford town councilor steps down from ZBA

WALLINGFORD — The Town Council filled a vacancy on the Zoning Board of Appeals during its meeting Tuesday evening.

ZBA secretary Christina Tatta stepped down from the board in November after being elected to the Town Council.

Louis Czerwinski was appointed to a five-year term on the ZBA and sworn in by Town Clerk Barbara Thompson.

Tatta was sworn in as a town councilor earlier this month. Her last ZBA meeting was Nov. 17, 2019.

The Town Charter precludes Tatta from serving on the ZBA while on the Town Council.

Tatta began as a ZBA alternate in August 2016, became a full member in February 2018 and was elected secretary in March 2018.

The December 2019 and January meetings of the ZBA were canceled, so the board has not met to elect to a new secretary yet.
