WALLINGFORD — No one was injured after a car caught fire in a CVS parking lot Thursday night.
The call for a vehicle fire came in around 9 p.m., reported in the parking lot of CVS, 891 North Colony Rd. A fire department official on scene said the motorist pulled into the parking lot when she saw smoke coming from the car. When firefighters arrived, they found a working fire.
The driver was out of the vehicle at the time. The vehicle sustained significant damage.
Traffic was not affected on North Colony Road. The CVS parking lot’s main entrance remained blocked off for about an hour.
