Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Route 5 in Wallingford



WALLINGFORD — Police say a pedestrian was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Route 5 Friday morning. 

Traffic division officer Jim Knowlton said an older male pedestrian walking in the roadway was struck around 5:45 a.m. by a male driver, in the area of Church Street and Hall Avenue, near Most Holy Trinity Church.

The injured man suffered injuries to the head, arms and legs, according to police. 

Police said no charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
