LETTERS: Wonderful work in administering vaccines

I would like to acknowledge the incredible work that the Meriden Health Department is doing. I recently received my COVID-19 vaccines at the Vaccine Center that the MHD is managing at the Meriden Senior Center. Every step of the process was truly wonderful. From welcoming us as we entered, to answering any questions, every person was extremely helpful. It was a pleasure to go to such an efficiently run clinic. We are so grateful for the kind and tireless commitment that these professionals have to the health and well-being of our community — their work brings hope for a return to a better world.

I sure hope the Board of Ed has budgeted timers for the lights around the Maloney High track. As I write Saturday at 8 a.m., they’ve been on for 14 hours and this is a regular occurrence. They light up my backyard and I’m two streets away.
